ok, ive been burning audio cds for a couple years now with barely any problems, a trusty 8X burner, but my recently new sony crx185E3 32x burner has not been very dependable from the start. my computers specs are at the bottom to clear any questions up.. first of all, every now and then, maybe 1 out of 15 or so, it fails to burn an audio track, the track is there, time and everything, but it is completely blank, so ive resorted to checking every cd i burn which gets kind of annoying and time consuming.. ive updated the software, drivers, aspi, and everything else i could think of, it still happens, what could be wrong?? second problem i just realized, i ran neros cdspeed program on a few of my cds after i burned them and they all show errors right around 33 minutes, which is where burners kick up their burn X to 32x, they don't seem to mess the cd audio up, but do i really want or expect errors on my audio cds?? both the HD and CDROM are in DMA, what could be wrong?? Ive noticed that if i burn in only 8X, then no errors ever happen, but i still lose tracks every now and then, .. any suggestions or advice would be great.. also im thinking of getting another 24x-40x burner so any suggestions on that would be cool too.. Thanks guys.. computer: amd1800+ 768DDR2100 winXPpro wd40gig7200 SonyCDextreme burn software (uses prassi PX engine)
