Grand Prix 4 is a Safedisc 2 protected title and your burner may not be capable of making a perfect backup of it as it does not do correct EFM-Encoding but make sure that you select an amplify weak sectors profile as this may enable your burner to backup this title

i hate to say this dragon boy but i don't think your drive will backup safedisk2 even using amplify weak sectors. it's a hardware limitation of those drives. the only thing i think you can do is make the copy and us a no-cd patch after installing.

These are software patches that allow you to play the game without the CD in the drive. It is also a way to get around the "Insert Correct Disc" problem. You can find these type patches at www.megagames.com and they normally include a text file on how to apply them. As a matter of fact I went to look there and they have a few of them for that game. Look under "Game Fixes" .....

Yes it did. I downloaded one of the files and it has an info file that says this:
1.) Unzip/Unace (Ace 2.0) manually or use our installer
2.) Run Setup.bat
3.) Hit "GP4.exe" to play the game!

I downloaded the first one and it tells you what to do with it.....

I downloaded the file "GRAND.PRIX.4.10.ENG.CLASS.NOCD.zip" unzipped it, and there are three files inside. One of the files is called "Class.nfo" The directions I posted are there.

So you unziped the file, and you have these files on your computer right? Next copy them into the same directory as the game is located. since I don't own the game I can not try it myself, I assume that when you copy these files into the game directory you will be asked if you want to replace some existing files with the same name. Answer "YES". Now double click on the RegSetup.exe file. Next play the game by clicking on the GP4.exe file.

Not sure what else I can tell you. Sorry, I am sure it is something you missed though. I have been using patches like this for years and they always work for me. Try again. Make sure you have the game loaded and working first, then apply the patch again and see if the game will play without the CD....
