I got my HD Loader disc today! I just have a 40 GB HDD for right now. I can't get anygames to work online on the HDD, but they work with the CD. I seen some Madden and Fifa Soccer downloads around that have "Online Fixed" in the title, is it some kind of patch or something that fixes it? A game on the HDD thinks you don't have the ethernet adapter in the PS2, but of course I do. Anyways I have a question, I read on the PS2 scene forums that the patch that patched the HDloader to enable bigger hard drives didn't work right, as the hard drive data could be used but games would not play off of it, that makes me ask this question, now that WinHIIP_V1[1].6.3 has the "Use Special LBA 48bit" Option does it work correctly now?

I Found A Link Explaining How It Can Be Done ps2nfo But There Are To Many Unknowns For Me To Try And Figure It Out. I GUess My Biggest Question With That Link Is: Is The Memory Card Exploit Swap Kit Required...I Think It Is Saying It Is. If anyone would Look At That Site And Try To Give It To Me In Lamens Terms It Would Be Great. Thanks Guys And Great Forum

First you need to get the PS2 Network card, then the HD Loader/Advance disc, and here you go, its very easy!

emperor I already have all that and I have 37 games already on my hard drive what i need to get it info on how to do a pc install of a dvd9 disc step by step info

your problem is how to install DVD9 games or also DVD5?

I think he just wants to know how to install a dvd9 game and the steps involved in transfering direct from PC -> PS2 HDD as he has a lot of games already on his PS2 HDD he is just a bit wary of ending up with no games as a result of trying to transfer the dvd-9 one.

As far as the steps are concerned, from reading the other posts I think you have to:

- Install your PS2 HDD in your pc as you would a normal PC hdd.
- Use DVD Decrypter to generate an ISO image of the DVD-9 disk.
- Use WINHIIP (or similar) to load the ISO onto the PS2 HDD.
- Take the PS2 HDD out of the PC and put it back in the PS2.

Someone jump in quick and correct me if I'm off the mark .... i'm kind of getting confirmation for myself here too.

Thatss if you burn the game onto a CD or DVD an play it like that not if you put it on your PS2 HD sign up for that forum an they could help you out more Or emperor can help you.

I thought you couldnt play any games online once they are the HD and it doesnt matter if they are originals or backups?!?!!? Can you play ORIGINALSgames FROM the HD on the net? IF so wireless ps2 connection here i come!

I use HD Loader on my PS2 and it works fine. I only have a laptop, so the only way i know of to connect the HD, in my PS2, to the laptop would be an external hard drive enclosure. I was wondering if anyone has had success with this process or knew of another way in which i could use HDL Dump, or similar programs, with a laptop.

Hi emperor,

New to the forum, two questions. I have a non official HD and all I want is to be able to put new socom 2 maps and be able to use them online. I don't want to copy my game to the harddrive, I heard it won't work because of the DNAS. How can I do this? Second question, is it possible to copy an official ps2 hard drive to my non official harddrive.
