Hi,

Yes it can write correctly SD v2.XX.XXX --> v2.51.XXX by hardware, after that (higher releases of SD2) you must use Amplify Weak Sectors or other sector amplification methods by software. It can read correctly (and very fast) all versions of SD2.

It supports writing SecuROM 'NEW' up 'till the newest versions which no writer can burn. It can also read SecuROM correctly (also, again very fast) up 'till the game "The Thing".

BTW, I see your from OZ, where'd your get the DX model?? And how much in AUD are did you get it for??

Thanks!

No problems I seen it in Harvey Norman for $599, but I know the manager there so can get it for $515. Harris technology is toooo expensive [}:)] Do you like it, what are your thoughts about the DX model [?]
And what exactly do you mean by:

>coz you are local resident.

???
Aren't you too?

I'm very interested in getting one!

hi, clint.
i am not resident. i am overseas. where do you live.

it is too late to be online. we should sleep.
dx is a good extenal writer. it support everything. you can check from the CloneCD website. it can read and writer for the protect cd.
and it is fast.and you have to have use2 or firewire interface. but i think use2 and firewire is not fast enought for 44x speed. and i didn't find the cd-rw supports more than 4x.
it is not hot when we burn.
the unique is disc@2. burn the image.
i think the only bad news is it is tooooo fast. toooo good.

it is good. you can read the test from this web. i love it .

Yes I already know all about it, and plan to use the IEEE1394 interface with it. And yes, I read the 'test on this web' the 1st day it was published

I was just wondering how you personally thought it performed, and you liked it so all sounds good

I live near Sydney, Mid North Coast, NSW.

And you L.A. ([:o)]), he musn't know what a "Mod" is!!?
