Well the easiest way to start and to find all you need to know about most CD-Writers is to go to CDR-INFO's Review pages and have a good read on the Reviews!

And if you can't find a review on the CD-Writer you are interested in or are still not sure which one to choose have a search on the Forum First then put a Request in the CD-R/W Hardware Section of the Forum and I am sure you will find plenty of helpfull people who will give you the advice you are looking for through their own Experiances !!!
