Greetings Laffin Assassin! I too have a couple of CDD4801's that I am having trouble upgrading due to the ASPI problem. Pleased to be so kind as to also e-mail me the magic 249K file you propose? Thanks very much in advance. I greatly appreciate you taking your valuable time to help!

Hey, all. I'm having the same problem with my Philips CD-RW. My pc will run for a while but then the CD-RW read light comes on and then my machine locks up.

Could you email that update to me, Laffin? I'd really hate to replace this thing if I can fix it.

Hi! Laffin,
I use Philips PCRW804 writer on Win2k, Intel P3@450MHz with 128MB RAM.I use NERO 5.5.9.0 burning ROM.My applications are extensively in compiling SVCDs.

The writer accepts HP CD-R especially the one with 650MB/74min. Nero
functions until simulation, once it enters burn process it enters a
indefinite loop, whenever i use any CD-R which are 700MB/80mins. I have tried SONY, SAMSUNG, Mitsubishi CD-Rs. Can you help me understand this and solve if possible at the earliest.
