CDRInfo, as being a leading test center, tests worldwide first, in depth the Mt. Rainier format with the use of EasyWrite test suite.

The same tests are performed from manufacturers to test their drives with both normal and defect media.

With the EasyWrite test suite, we can see which drive will work correctly with scratched and defect media and which will not. That's important since if the drive cannot handle the media correctly, light scratches will cause loss of data!

These kind of tests are performed worldwide first in public from our test labs. We plan to test all future drives that will be Mt. Rainier enabled!

Lastly, we can announced the improvement of our testing equipement with the adoption of new series of tests according to the official standards. More information coming soon!

Btw Kenny, you can now remove other tests about Mt.Rainier since they are not show anything important.

Only the EasyWrite tests, show if the drive can handle defects, which if after all the basic idea behind Mt. Rainier

I guess so. I hope the manufacturers will all read your reviews closely. At least, I know neither Samsung nor LG pays great attention to review sites or customer feedback on web forum boards.
