Hi there, I have Nero 5.5.8.0 and a Yamaha CRW2200E drive. On recording (generally MP3 files) with verify, I invariably get a verify failure with a number of files being 'inaccessible'. The error reported for each inaccessible file in the log is along the lines of 18:17:26 #22 SCSI -1024 File Cdrdrv.cpp, Line 1209 SCSI Exec, HA 0, TA 0, LUN 0, buffer 0x02B82E50 Status: 0x04 (0x01, SCSI_ERR) HA-Status 0x00 (0x00, OK) TA-Status 0x02 (0x01, SCSI_TASTATUS_CHKCOND) Sense Key: 0x04 (KEY_HARDWARE_ERROR) Sense Code: 0x08 Sense Qual: 0x03 CDB Data: 0x28 0x00 0x00 0x00 0xC8 0x3E 0x00 0x00 0x10 0x00 0x00 0x00 Sense Data: 0x70 0x00 0x04 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x0A 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x08 0x03 18:17:26 #23 VERIFYERR 6 File UDFCompilationImpl.cpp, Line 5318 Read error on CD file track 03.mp3 The track will refuse to play, or will play part way through in Media Player in that drive. However, the same tracks appear to play OK in another drive or a standalone MP3 player. My question is this: I suspect that this is a faulty drive - it can burn fine but can't read properly. Could somebody with more Nero knowledge than I tell me whether the error message from Nero bears this theory out? Thanks very much in advance, Andy
