I tried copying to an image with my Pioneer drive and this is the error I get.

W 10:01:20 PM Device PIONEER DVD-ROM DVD-106 doesn't support reading of 96 bytes subchannel data (CD+G)!

Is this a problem? I didn't get that error using my Plex 2410a. Thanks.

Yeah, all that means is that the Pioneer doesn't support reading of the full amount of subcodes, and the PleXWriter does. You only need need RAW-DAO 96 when copying PSX libcrypt copy protected titles, karaoke and CD+G CDs.
It may very well support 16 bytes subchannel data, and then you can read successfully SucuROM protected CDs, if not, just use your PX-W2410A for all the "harder" stuff.

It won't limit you in any other way, as of the current time
