just got a liteon cdrw 24x10x40 a few days back..

tried to backup my original cd civilisation 3 using nero..
the burning process is successful but i cannot install nor play from the cd..

so need help in backing up the game.. thanks

appreciate if you can provide me what are the software to use and the settings..

As far as I know NERO will not copy protected games. To do this you need CloneCD or CDMATE. I like CloneCD for ease of use. For Civilization 3 you just put it into your liteon drive and in the write section select "Fast Error Skip". I use the Liteon to read and write SD2 protected games. It works well for it. One you are done reading the image then put a blanl in the drive and write it....

NERO surely does copy SOME originals BUT not all... You should download CloneCD & Clony as Tron suggests. Download Unsafedisc as well although your drive can do SD2 according to the CloneCD info.

Nero will not work. Use Clonecd. No game patches will be needed.
After you are done burning what you think are a dozen coasters, use clonecd's tray function, and select "hide cdr media". After I did that, all the CD's I burned of Civ III installed and played fine in the Liteon. But you still must use Clonecd to make the backup.

need help again...

trying to back up my d2 expansion cd..
burning is successful..

but the game doesnt work..
it always prompt for my original cd..

is ter anyway that i can burn the cd and play it online?
