I apologize in advance as I am new to using these great utilities...
My problem is I am tryng to make a backup of my Kids copy of The SIMS, and also prevent the "run as" dialog we get in Windows2000. To do this, I wanted to (1) make a RAW image of the original CD, (2) change the name of the executable from "Setup.exe" to TheSims.exe, and (3) write the image back to a CDROM.
What I tried to do is:
1. CloneCD to make the .CCD, .IMG, .SUB files
2. WinISO to edit the image file, and
3. CloneCD to write the image to CDROM.
Problem is, CloneCD creates the .CCD -- WinISO only reads, edits and saves the .IMG, and -- when I try to write, CloneCD reports an error of "SIMS.sub does not match SIMS.img" -- of course it doesn't match!
Can anyone advise what software I sould be using to accomplish this task??
Thanks in advance for any help.
(confused in newbie-land)
