hello,
I just purchased a '80s techincs 4x18bit cd player. thing sounds awsome. It's has trouble reading cdr's recorded and high speed. I've been able to get 4x cdr's to play some what, my liteon 52327s won't go any lower. I think what I need is a 1x burner to get cdr's to play reliably. Expert input would be greatly appreciated. Thoughts about media would also be appreciated.

You may have good luck with a Plextor Premium II with AudioMaster... I was told by Plextor to expect them in the US by the end of the year.  Or see if you can find an old Yamaha 3200 series drive, which had AudioMaster... I had one... I kick myself for letting it go!!
