What do people use for creation/burning of CD ISO images (Freeware)?

I tried EAC. It creates the files ok but I have mixed results burning.

Though I've never tried it, Deepburner has a Free and Pro version... looks like it may work for you.

I use IsoBuster for reading images (mine is registered - not sure what the free use version gets you), and though I never tried it for CD's, ImgBurn is a wonderful image burner.

I prefer using ISO-burner. That is a small and extremely easy to use utility. You might wish to give it a glance

Brill, I can now burn ISOs.

Q: How do I create them?
I'd like to do it straight from a CD and create a simple .ISO file for burning. EAC creates loads of different files and will not finanlise the CD.
Any help please?
Cheers.

Is that for CDs or DVDs?
I'm after a CD one.

Cheers.
When I set it up it seemed to want to replace DVDDecrypter.
Is this necessary?
Does it "get around" copy protection on CDs?

No it does not replace DVD Decryptor.. at least for decrypting DVD's (but DVD Decryptor is very dated), but ImgBurn comes from the same author... check the ImgBurn forums for tips on keeping both.

When you say "dated" is there a better (freeware) alternative?

DVDFab Decrypter... You'll still need DVD Shrink if you use DVD5 (Single Layer) discs... but it works ok and gets updated fairly frequently and is easy to use... though I do use SlySoft AnyDVD (not free).

Right.
So, I think I've got it!
DVDFab decrypter to rip then DVDShrink (if necessary) to "refit" then ImgBurn to burn, yes?
