Hi all!

I am using Nero 6.3 with Pioneer 106. I have trying to make audio copies of some of my music. I have used Memorex 80min CD-Rs, Arita 74 CD-Rs and some others. In 2 songs particularly where there are some high frequency sounds (bells electric piano etc) My copies all break up at the high frequency point. Other songs without the instruments play no problem. Today I tries an LG music only cd-r and guess what....No break-up!! What does this mean? Is it the quality of the discs, the fact that this writer likes to write audio on music only discs? the colour of the dye, what??? It's busting my brain this!
If anyone can shed any light on this I would be really appreciate it.

Many thanks

Thx Minos for your suggestion, I will give it a try. However it is strange that it worked fine on the LG Music Only CDRs and not on any of the Memorex or Arita discs. Hmmm, it really is crazy huh!

Arita 74 min sounds pretty old - treat it gently and keep the speed down - 12x at most, I'd say - I'd expect they date back to when multispeed meant 1-12x

Memorex isn't a particularly inspiring name either!

It's more usual to find dropouts, some tracks won't play, than audible degradation though, if the burn is poor.
