Yeap Verbatim are the best, certified in all tests.

What way you tried for backups, where's your problem?

i used datawrite dvd+r dual layer with "any dvd" and nero 7. my burner is a NEC 4550A.
the copies play perfectly for the first half or so then they start freezing up an going blocky.
have you got any ideas as to what i`m doing wrong?
sorry i took so long to reply.

hmmm, it seems you better try a different disc brand, such as Verbatim, unless there is a newer firmware for your burner which might changes things with the discs you tried.
I would also give a try with previous Nero, the 6.6.0.16 for example.
