Hi there,

I´ve got a problem with my NEC 1300A drive - maybe you can help
Everytime I try to read a dvd with a lot of bad scratches on it - the error correction does something very strange:

When the dvd starts to accelerate it can read some sectors but after maybe 2sec (at full rotation-speed) nothing more!

What can I do to slow down my drive to 1x (I tried the tool "CD Bremse" without success, min. supported speed is 6x for this drive) ?

Is there a tool to start/stop the drive rotation manually?
I don´t want to open/close the drivee manually a hundret times for that!
