Yeah, I read some of the reviews.... some people should "ACTUALLY GO THROUGH THE SOFTWARE" before they post that this doesn't work, or why isn't this option available, because EVERY ONE I READ you can set.... you just need to know where to set it at!

Hi
I've just seen the above post along with posts in other forums.
All I can say is it works for me as an update.
I did not get it from the link I posted, but put that link as it's supposed to be easier/quicker to d/l (100Mbs)
This is the link I used http://www.majorgeeks.com/Nero_Burning_Rom_d2228.html
also to be found here: ftp://ftp.nero.com/software/nero7/

Great news that Nero AG finally released the demo, but it looks like they have not provided an option to buy yet.  I would have expected that they did this at the same time.  Is the single file all inclusive @ approx. 100MB or something?  Wow, that is a big file and unless they add capacity to their FTP site, will likely be hard to download when the the product does become available.

Hi
For those who are still having problems. Try
http://www.nero.com/nero7/eng/nero7-up.php
I think you'll also find that Nero 7 is now available on line.

The "Nero 7 Update" on Nero's Web site is not an update at all.  It is an entirely new version (7.0.1.2) which demands that I totally uninstall the existing Nero 7 Ultra (7.0.0.0) that I already purchased and installed.

Nero is definitely starting out its new edition on the wrong foot.

Hi
I have complete retail package of Nero 7 installed on my pc. When I d/l from the above official link Nero 7 Demo & then ran install. Nero picked up serial & performed an upgrade from 7.0.0.0 to 7.0.1.2.
I'm in the UK so have European version. I don't know if that makes any difference. Also not seen anybody else report this problem.

Sorry for going off topic, but is Nero 7 pretty stable?  I haven't made the jump yet.

Also I see that it supports Blu-Ray writers, but does it support editing of HD mpeg re-authoring/editing?  Also anyone know if it will support HD-DVD writers too?

I am starting to have some problems since updating, Nero 7.0.0 was fine, but now I'm beginning to experience a few problems.  This is by no means a reason not to upgrade to Nero 7.  As you know, Nero regularly releases updates/fixes to their software.

Anyone knows if there is a way/link to download just the Nero Burning ROM software, without all the other programs (which I do not need)?  It's no good having to download 100MB for every new Nero version...

Wish there was... I liked it better the old way -- download what you want.  I use some of the stuff, but InCD is and always will be garbage.  At least seperate that out.

InCD and DirectCD are the anti-christ of computing.  Tons of conflicts, a good portion of lost data.  I trusted it once and I am not afraid to admit I was wrong.  Packet writing is simply not reliable.

Burn in sessions - save your data!!!
