Sony having Problems...So am I...maybe someone could help...All of a sudden I could not Read or Write any type of  DVD...different brands...with my Sony DVD RW DW-D22a.... it would run & run ( CD's are read & Burnt with no problem using Nero or Fireburner) So I bought a Sony DRU-710A...same problem with this drive, I tried uninstalling drivers, Software, Aspi drivers, firmware...Thought it was my HD...so after 3-4 days of working on it I decided to format my drive...same problem. I contacted Sony who was very helpful, after trying a few steps they informed me they were having problems with the DRU-710A and to send it to them for an Upgrade, which I did a few days ago. (I also tried it in another computer, same problem) So if you are having problems you may wanna try that route.

The writeup states that it is a 3500 but the Nero Tool on the page says its a 3520
Are they the same ? I was wondering exactly what I am getting so I can have the firmware ready when it arrives. Also is it a NEC or a TDK drive or a gerneric.Any help would be appreciated.
