Ok, i think ill do that when i get another spindle of dvd's. What speed were those burns that you did? I use 16x and get around 92-94 quality burns.

All I have to say is that solidburn is the real deal.  i burned a PS2 game without solidburn and have some audio that stuttered.  I enabled solidburn and it was a perfect copy when used with my PS2.

To be honest, SolidBurn hasn't impressed me at all...I dont know its the used media but so far i have noticed that Solidburn doesn't work properly with DVD-R media, maybe some better with DVD+R but again needs improvement...

ok something weird happened to my drive. I had BSKB since it was released and had no problems around 94-96 quality burns. 2 days ago i installed Qsuite2.0 and i did not change anything and now its burning between 50-70 quality of burns with high PI Failures. What could possibly be wrong? I mean i didnt change anything with qsuite yet its been like this ever since.

Solid Burn has a minus bug and some other problems too. When I set my MCC 004 to have solid burn enabled first burn was great, then next burn started at 6x then dropped to 1x. Turning it back off did not fix this problem, I had to clear the eeprom to fix it. They have a beta out now that is supposed to fix the minus bug and probably this one too, hopefully they release the actual version soon.

but the thing is that i never changed anything from qsuite. I just installed it to look at the options available. Once i uninstalled it the quality is at 70ish now. Still crap. I had 90+ before QSuite install, 50-70 with QSuite installed and no options changed, and now 70ish with QSuite uninstalled.

maybe just install qsuite 2.0 back and remove all entries at the EEPROM?

I had a lot of problems with Ritek R03 media, too many coasters, verification failures etc. BSLB firmware didn't help. So, I have installed QSuite 2.0 and activated SolidBurn even for known and supported media. It helped me a bit but sometimes I couldn't finish burning instead, the process got stuck when burning lead-out. So I have disabled even WOPC and all problems are gone now. Quality is over 98% and my desktop DVD Home Theater recognizes these media in DVD player much faster than ever before. I recommend to delete all learned discs from EEPROM first (for sure), enable SolidBurn for known (supported) and also unknown media and disable WOPC.
