Hi,

I am a newbie. Previously had CloneCD 3.0.0.20 (?). Always had slight conflicts with Roxio Easy CD Creator 5. Unable to wrest control of the drive causing repeated error messages. Several retries will work or exiting / entering CloneCD will do the trick.

Because of the errors, I thought upgrading to 4.2.0.2 would be a good idea. Uninstalled the older version and removed registration information--I know, bad idea but I wanted a clean slate.

Now installing CloneCD, it keeps telling me the trial period has expired and my registration is not valid. Installing either new or old versions of CloneCD gives me the same results.

Is there something that remains after the uninstall I can manually delete to get CloneCD to work again? I would be happy just to get the old version to work though any thoughts on the Roxio conflict is appreciated!

I agree with him above...how do you get CloneCD back on. Does it leave something in the registry or a file, what?

Since you bought that program (you did purchase it right?) from ElaborateBytes, you should contact them for a replacement serial number. It is always better to have the up to date software since they have worked out more bugs as they go. I have seen this happen when people use Blacklisted serial numbers, but if you purchased the program you have the right to a working serial number, so go back to them and get it resolved.....

And they are VERY GOOD about emailing you back a serial number, usually within less than 24 hours!
