we haven't received the 3540 burner yet... i think that nec is preparing a surprise for us, maybe a surprise burner that noone is waiting for

NEC 3540 is already available in Portugal and it costs €54.9...
BENQ DW1640 is not available yet  and it's price will be much higher than NEC I think. The old version (DW1620pro) has a price of €79.9 here in Portugal

i think minos said last week that the review for benq 1640 will be ready this week... so i'd give it 2 more. hehe

even at this (not so) early stage i think most will agree that if you choose the 1640 over the 3540 you won't be too
disappointed. i mean if it's good enough for plextor... nuff said.

apparantly none of the admins at cdrinfo have the 3540...

it's been available in quantity in the uk for ages... just my luck. i've been waiting for the 1640 myself
