Hi there everyone, i just signed up here, tis my first post. I am not really new to burning but im getting into it more then ever now and have a few things id like to iron out so i can get the best outta what i burn. I guess first i should list my stats.
HP CD-Writter Plus 7500 Series (external but i pulled it out of the case and made it internal)
running Windows XP Corp
Samsung DVD/CD/MP3 Player Model #DVD-S221 (stand alone dvd player)
MP3 CDs for dvd player
I have tried and tried to burn some mp3 cds to play in my samsung. i have read the dvd instruction manual and met their req's. and it still doesnt doesnt work.
1.Your MP3 files should be ISO 9660 or JOLITE format.
2.When naming your MP3 files do not exceed 8 characters, and place ".mp3" as the file extention.
3.Use a decompression rate of at least 128kb/sec when recording MP3 files.
4.Your DVD player only accepts one level of file directory.
I have burnt like 7 cds that meet these reqs and they still dont work, it sees them, and starts to play them, but it skips jumps and plays 2 min of a song then silence, every song, i am stumped, i dunno what else i can do. ive converted them to wav and back again, making sure its 128kb @44,1KHZ, ive tired burning them in both ISO 9660 and JOLIET. Ive burnt with, Nero, roxio, and a few burning progs designed specifically for burning mp3cd and nothing. the dvd player does say it plays mp3s and it is cd-r/rw compatable. oh and ive tried DAO and TAO Finalized. is there anything im missing here???
My second problem, which is a new problem for me, and im not sure why, is that when i burn regular audio cds, they come out sounding like vinyl, hissing popping and *****ling, ive never had this problem before. The mp3s im burning are perfect quality, no noise problems, but after they are on cd, the first few tracks are fine then it starts in with the popping, any ideas on this???
