Yep. So far, my backup copy of Max Payne(SD2) works fine in a cheap(actually free) Afree 50x CD-ROM. Diablo II(SecuROM) also works fine. I discovered that these newer games have ATIP protections, Max Payne w/1.04 patch and Diablo II Expansion, where the burner will not play because it could read ATIP info. Thus it becomes important that these backup CDs work in another CD-ROM where ATIP info cannot be read. Also, this drive is fast. It made the Max Payne image with over 800MB under 5 min and burn it under 4 min! They are also very affordable. If you have a local Fry's, they have the Cendyne(same as Lite-on 24102B) for $99 after $40 MIR this week. If not, Newegg has the OEM version for $97 and $9 shipping.
