PHILIPS PBDV1640P Current firmware : B3.2
==> New firmware Version : P3.4

The enter firmware version can't upgrade this drive!
Why ? is different for retail and oem drives ?
My drive is oem, solution ?

yes retail and bulk have different firmware, you can however convert your retail to bulk

I have the same problem!What do I have to do to convert the retail to the bulk upgrade?

there is an upgrade process, use the search function

The link you are looking for is the p2.2 firmware link in the firmware forum and then about 5 posts down you will find the link to convert your bulk pbdv1640p to dvdr1640p.

So you can then flash using the p3.4 firmware upgrade......
