I need a firmware update for this dvd recorder and i can't find it on www.memorex.com (i read on internet that it is a oem version of another company).

What is the model number? WHat you listed is not a model number.

There is no need for that,I found it on http://www.memorex.com/downlads/software/DVD164.exeit wasn't listed on their site but whit some old links I manage to locate it.
