Darn it! - there goes the only good reason for owning a Liteon!

Indeed, Matthew, that is the way I look at this situation also.

FYI I have tested it with the Pioneer 103, 105, 106, 107 & 108 and its looking good withthe entire Pioneer range

Things just keep getting better and better.

Zebra any newer tests with Pio drives?

Dolphinius_Rex -> RE: DVR-107, A07; 108, A08 to support PI/PO scanning (11/15/2004 3:34:48 PM)

So is this with a new firmware? Or is it something special in DVDInfoPro? ...or possibly a combination? What ECC Sum is being used?

Is this Pioneer supported? or did someone hack their way into this?

and of course.... WHEN WILL IT BE RELEASED? [:D]

Halcyon -> RE: DVR-107, A07; 108, A08 to support PI/PO scanning (11/16/2004 1:29:43 AM)

Excellent!

BTW, is that really "POE" or "PIF" in that graph? The figures look quite low to be POE, imho (although still possible).

I hope this feature will carry on to DVD-109/DVD-A09 as well :)

Great work guys!

Matthew -> RE: DVR-107, A07; 108, A08 to support PI/PO scanning (11/16/2004 1:12:16 PM)

That is TYG01 media, and presumably if the Pioneer wrote it, it wrote it well!

I did think it looked a bit too good to be true, a plot from BAD media would be more interesting.
CDRINFO must have a TON of good, bad and indifferent burns from their drive tests - we need to see if the Pioneer not only scans, but if the information coming out of it has at least some correlation with any currently known scan-reporting drives.

Matthew as soon DVDInfoPro supports them, we will compare the results versus CATS
