CaptainX -> Require a UT2003 bwa file with no errors! (11/27/2002 2:18:40 AM)

Could somebody send me a bwa file of UT2003_CD1 that has no errors, my original CD1 has a tiny scratch which gives me 2 errors and I cant produce a 1:1 backup.

Help would be appreciated
thanks.

PS:
Is there a webpage I can download "bwa" files?

I have the file i just don't know how to use it. I can send it to you. Can you tell me how to use it?

You save it to the same folder where you put the image file (bwi file).....On the last page before burning the image to disc tick the box "use bwa file if available" and providing there is no errors in the bwa file....a perfect 1:1 backup of UT2003_CD1 should result.

Please send!!![8)]

Also read the "Howtobwa" text file in your main Blindwrite dir!

Read this page http://www.cdrinfo.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=6703&whichpage=3&SearchTerms=UT2003

It will help you in making an image file.

Check your email on "how to send me the file"

Did you manage to grab one Capn? I need one myself, as I dont think my burner is capable of producing a quality bwa.

CaptainX -> RE: Require a UT2003 bwa file with no errors! (11/29/2002 3:17:47 PM)

Hey Jas!...your file was NFG......but thanks anyway, so if someone can produce a error free bwa for UT2003 CD1, please send it to me.
Jas, have you had the chance to read up on how to use BLindwrite yet!
Swamprat, I made a bwa from my drive that produced 2 errors at about the 77% mark, which in effect, managed only to make a good play disk only!!!....but no good for installation. Do you want the BWA that made this disk?

I got mine to work after 3 tries. I have to use the Clone CD hide CD_R media to play it but it works

Swamprat, that one NFG as well.....the file should be approx 20KB+ in size, then you know for sure whether it will be a worthy contender.
thanks anyway!
I'm currently asking a few mates if they have a copy of UT2003, and borrow their CD1......If I succeed, I will let you guys know!
.....the hunt continues!

Clint -> RE: Require a UT2003 bwa file with no errors! (12/1/2002 8:26:57 AM)

Why not just use the latest Alcohol 120% version?? It *should* create a good working copy. [^]

Get the trail here.

CaptainX -> RE: Require a UT2003 bwa file with no errors! (12/3/2002 1:18:07 AM)

I tried that Clint, not much luck!
But I've done it now!!!!.....SUCCESS...with Blindwrite and my original BWA....it must have been settings!
More specifically, I checked the box with "extract subcodes" when I done the image.....I reckon that was the diffence between success and failure!
It works on my burner drive, my DVD drive(running XP pro)as a play disk...no probs, tested it on another PC (running 98se) from a new install on a generic 52X cdrom drive...also no prob!
AND it was burnt to a elcheapo 700MB CDR.
woohoo!
Now I can file away my original and let my kids thrash out the backup.
Thanks to all that helped me!
AND to this guy who wrote the tutorial I used...http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?s=ebd629a3c366d5744d9624065ebf15d0&threadid=58959
