After a little testing, I'm confident that two-sheep burner ratings will be a thing of the past. Just got a working backup of Unleashed (SD2.80.010) using a Ricoh MP7163A on a new beta. Some nice new features ;) A Lite-On 24102B read and written backup worked everywhere except the 24102B and a Lite-On 163D. An ASUS CRW-4816A written/24102B read did not work anywhere. A Lite-On 24102B written ASUS read worked everywhere except the 24102B (!!!) - I hate my 24102B [:(] Burners: ASUS CRW-1610A, 4012A, 4816A, 5224A, Lite-On LTR-24102B, 32123S, 40125S, LTD-163D, Acer CRW-1610A, Ricoh MP7163A CD-ROMs: Mitsu DD 52x, ASUS 48x DVD-ROMS: Toshiba SD-M1402, Hitach GD-7500 DVD-ROM/Writer Combo: Toshiba SD-R1202 btw, the CloneCD Virtual Drive is like no other VD. If you use bushound have a look [8D] [edit] I have tested the Ricoh backup in all my units and some others - works everywhere with "Hide..." on. You can also use the CloneCD Virtual Drive, too [/edit]

Btw ASUS 52X that makes SD2 2.60.050 cannot do SD2 2.80.010 with Padus DJ...Another drive that cannot do latest SD2?

The strange is that using the same DJ image, with the same settings, with SONY and AOPEN 52X drives created 100% ok SD2 2.80.010 backups, while the ASUS 52X doesn't...Weird...[B)]

Did you tested this in CD-RW or CD-ROM drives?

Hmm...That is so strange. I am getting "Insert correct CD-ROM" error message. [:(] With which drive you made the DJ image?

Ahhh....I see, the image was made with my CRW-4816A; I'll make an image with the 5224A ;) and see what happens. Have you tried any Liteys with DJ on SD2.8x?

[/quote] I think the image was created with a Plextor 48X recorder... The image worked perfect with AOpen 52X and SONY 52X (LiteOn clone) so i guess its ok...

I ment so say that with the specific media, two SD2 2.80.010 killers worked ok, but not the ASUS 52x...We will try again making a new image with the ASUS 52x drive

Media was Verbatim super-AZO 40x for CRW-4816A and 32x Mitsu Chem for 5224A
