Can my liteon 40x back it up? WHat protection is it using? I want to be able to make a backup...I ended up buying 2 MOHAA:AA after I scratched disc 1 badly. I learned fast to always backup then play the game!!

i used my liteon 24x to backup works fine Homer [:)]

Now go back and read MINE. It tells you to get a program called Cloney or Scout (They are free!), then use this, and it will tell you the protection. Then you can tell US what protection is on the disc....... Gotta help yourself sometimes......

Don't be offended, just trying to help you to help yourself. First off we would not offer to help make a copy of software you do not own so I will assume that you are think of buying this software. Well again, I would say to go out and buy it, then scan it, tell us the protection and we will help you out. I do not know the protection on the disc since I do not own it, and I don't plan to buy it to find out. But obviously you want the game, so buy it. Buy first, backup second....[:D]

From your first message I DO understand that you ALREADY have your second MOHAA:AA's copy in your hands becouse the first was scratched ( "I ended up buying 2 MOHAA:AA..." ) and so what's better than suggesting to use Clony to detect the protection and inform people about ? NOW I know it's not like that, but I hope you agree that Tron, as anybody else, could not understand it reading your post carefully...it was NOT clear... Ok.....first off---Sorry for coming across like an a$$, it happens sometimes. No, I don't have it yet but plan to purchase it once i see some good solid reviews. Like I said, i do use clony and try it myself but I was just looking for a heads-up on what it might contain protection wise. Thanx.

It's ok I26, unfortunately I do not know what protection is on that game. If you can find out, we might be able to sort it out for you....

it's too new for most sites to have info on it unfortunatly. www.gamecopyworld.com doesn't have it yet.

mdb175: That was a very good effort! and thank you for the time it took to do the research that you did, unfortunatly (I know it doesn't seem like it) but the game he was actually looking for is MOH:AA Spearhead (yes, medal of honour allied assault: Spearhead). The game is very new and there isn't much data for it yet. Good try though! [:)]

OK I have MOHAA Spearhead and Clony XXL is telling me that it is Safedisv V2 not 2.5 like the Allied Assault. Anyways, when I try to back it up, it will install fine, but then when I try to use the disc it tells me that there is an error and it needs to send a report to microsoft. If I put back in the original disc however it will read from that and play the game just fine. For some unknown reason it won't use the burned copy as a play disc, it just tells me that it had to shut the program down. I know it installed properly because when I put back in the original disc it will play it from that, it just won't read the backup copy as a play disc. Has anyone heard anything about this? What gives???

Are you trying to play that copy in a burner or a reader?
