When I make an "Image File" Iam gettting two files an MDS and an MDF is this normal? When I mount the files it only refers to the MDS. The original disc works and the image made to the hard drive works, the backup has all the files on it but it just isn't reading them when I try to load or play from the backup copy.

[:(] My Lite-On CD-RW drive won't read ANY discs at all now. Should I throw it into the street or can it be salvaged some how. I really don't know what happened, maybe it was about to go and that's why it wouldn't read backups properly.....RIP.

Yes, this is normal. Will the backup work in another drive? or another computer?

Vbguru_12000 you are indeed a wise man[:)] Yes, the backup loaded the game just like the original when I used the DVD-ROM drive...But...I could only play it on Alcohol 120%'s virtual drive. Is it supposed to be like that? Do I have to buy Alcohol 120% in order to play the game? Also, could you explane the differance between using a master and slave jumper arrangement, or setting the jumpers on cable select? Is one way better than the other?

Ahhhh, I understand now. All you have to do is enable the Ignore Media Type in Alcohol. If you don't know how to do this, there is a simple guide HERE. That should be all you need to get it to work.
