I have a cdd4801 burner drive in my compaq and it just stopped working. I've installed aspi and the firmware 2.5 update. Xp doesn't report anything wrong with the driver or anything to do with the drive. Can anyone help me?

unfortunately, I don't have a solution for you. But I can tell you that you're not alone in this problem. I'm having the same problem with the same drive. If I find out anything helpful other than the firmware & aspi updates, I'll try to post here.

BIOS doesnt find the burner (CDD4801) for me, but sometimes it works, and after the next reboot it dont work.

So weird.
