Matthew -> RE: Athlon Xp and vcd/svcd (7/29/2002 4:28:05 PM) With the Athlon XP, you have SSE instruction support (Pentium 3 class instructions) - but it may be better to select "3DNow" optimizations if the application has them, since this is the "native" multimedia-optimized instruction set for the Athlon. For Athlon Thunderbird (No SSE capability) - 3DNow support is even more beneficial.
