poimenas -> CD audio duplication software (7/26/2002 8:30:10 PM)

Well, I could use everyone's input here: I am just formatting and aiming for the perfect, clean win 2k installation, and I was wondering if there is a programme that copies the exact content of an audio cd from one cd drive to the other, without pressing many buttons. Ideally all that you would need is one: copy now! (I think what I am looking for is a dead easy audio cd duplication software, something equivalent to the diskcopy a: b: command...)

PS. in case someone doesn't feel like registering to post a reply my email is poimenas@hotmail.com

Hi poimenas
Well I suggest you try Nero But use the Wizard that makes it as easy as 123 !!!

well, it's not that I have trouble using the cd burning programmes, so that I need a wizzard, it's just that I find myself doing the same 4 actions every time I copy, as I mostly copy audio cd on the fly.

Doesn't anyone know a small programme that can do only that, i.e. copy an audio cd on the fly with one action from the user?

Hi poimenas
You Say "it's just that I find myself doing the same 4 actions every time I copy, as I mostly copy audio cd on the fly."
Yes but not all audio cd's have the same settings and even if you are not trying to copy Protected Audio CD's. Have you tried using Nero Express it is built into the latest Nero and if you don't know where to find it just let me know, but it is worth a try. Or you could use Clone CD !!!
I hope this Helps !!!

And if you need a smaller software use CDRWIN

I prefer clonecd. Clears the scene for me..have 1 program only, can copy audio and data cds as well, what more could I want? (ok, how about a box full of plextors and liteons :p )

Simple is always beautiful :)

Hey muhaha
You Say "I prefer clonecd. Clears the scene for me..have 1 program only, can copy audio and data cds as well, what more could I want?"

Yeah and how do you copy individual files to a CD with Clone CD
I must have missed something if you can do that with Clone CD !!!
That is why most people use a combination of CLone CD and Nero !!!

Hiya!

The answer is in poimenas's original question. He said he wanted a sw to copy cds by the press of a button (ok, some buttons more,I suppose :) ) This is also one of my needs, which clonecd solved in its entity. "Backup from a cd to another."

In case of authoring, I couldn't agree more with you that Nero is good enough for most cases. However nero and many other softwares of this kind have other problems that somebody should eventually face. For example, Nero (and CD Mate) cannot burn a track from an image file on a CDR that has already one session but is still open (they burn the new session and track if you let THEM master it, by drag&drop files as usual..)

Wonder whether there is a really DUMB burning program that allows us to burn everything, with no restrictions, even though the final CD should be unreadable.. Well, mastering a file on HD and then burning it with Clone could work, but there should be an easier way,I suppose..

But the Easier ways are not always the Best !!!

Yup! Agree with u. However poimenas wanted a "fire n' forget" solution. This is another definition for simple. If it is also optimal, then.. cheers! [^]

MP3Mogul -> RE: CD audio duplication software (10/7/2002 9:45:23 PM)

The current protections on audio cd's should not prevent them from playing on audio equipment, only on personal confusers. What titles are you attempting to play that will not play?
