Can anyone tell me what is the best software available to backup a PS2 game. I already have a mod chip installed and gameshark but do not have software that will copy the discs.

I suggest you use Clony XXL to do the settings and use Clone CD the make the Backups !!!

I guess I am really stupid. I downloaded both clony xxl and clone cd but I still cannot figue out how to use the clony xxl. A lot of the instructions and FAQ are in german. Where can I find a simple instruction sheet on how to use these programs that is written in English.

Ok , Thanks did that. What am I doing wrong when I put a PS2 game disc in the reader and clony says no CD. Are there specific settings I have to do first.

It's not a DVD you are trying to copy is it because some of the PS2 games are on DVD'S and if that is the case that would be the reason for the message !!!

The game is Knockout Kings 2001 by EA. So if it is a DVD then this software will not back it up? Is there something that will?

The only way I know how to backup a DVD is to use a DVD Writer !!!
And I believe the program you are trying to backup is on a DVD !!!

[:(]When i insert the playstation 2 Cd into my cdrom drive it spits it strait back out and therefore i cannot burn it. I have already changed the automatic read to off but it still spits the Cd strait back out. I have tried 2 Cd's and it does it to both of them, can someone please HELP!!!!!!!
What am i doing wrong!!!

Well if you look on the front of the Cover or on the CD it will have the DVD Logo on it that is if it is an Original !!![:)]

Yes It does say DVD rom on the back cover!!
sorry, not too good at this.

Would i be able to view it it the game wasnt on a dvd, or are all PS2 games. How may i get a burning rom that will work and i can insert the cd without it ejecting.
The game is Baldurs Gate Dark Alliance

You will need a DVD player in your computer to enable you to see the files !!!

Is there anyone out there who knows if there is a way to backup my PS2 games...once backed up they can be played on an unmodified PS2.
