I cant seem to make a backup of gtaIII tried clony xxl, clonecd games database and copy protection detection nothing seems to work. any help?

Which drive you are using? Have you used latest CloneCD version?

I'm using a plextor 12/10/32S, cloneCD 4.0.1.9, win 98SE and everything shutdown except explorer and systray.

Hi gundig
It has Safedisk v2.5 protection so to copy it with your CD Writer the best way to do it is to enable AWS in Clone CD !!!!!

sorry, I don't see any AWS setting in clone. btw I dont see anything to set w/ clonecd 4.0.1.9 anymore.

A.W.S stands for Amplify Weak Sector. For you to Enable it with you Living in the USA. You must change your regional settings (in control panel) to Australia or Canada or something other than U.S. or Japan.

1) Uninstall CLONE CD
2) Reboot
3) "Move to another country"
4) Reboot
5) Reinstall CLONE CD, then AWS and Hide CD-R media will work for you. But make sure you use Clony to do the settings in Clone CD.

You have mail! I sent you a little something to explain it and to help you with this issue...... There is a patch out that will fix this issue, or you can simply fool the computer into thinking it is in Canada by changing the region as LA has already said. Once you have that part taken care of start the newest CloneCD, Select "Game" and read the CD. Then in the WRITE section where it tells you to select "Game" or "Data" or others, just right click "Game" now select "Edit" and then make sure that "Amplify Weak Sectors" is selected, and also want to make sure that you close the disc. Cloney might have other options selected too, depending on the protection it detected. Hope this helps.....
