hi .. i got a problem with my cd burning ( nero ) its the latest i got iomega prdaxtor USB 1 ... the problem im facing is that everytime when i want to install from the cd that i burnt or run the program every application that ends with .exe it gives me something about win 32 error mesg but for movies ,songs mp3z or others , zip files all are fine expect the files with .exe,.! Is it somthing with the encyprating or its kinda protection... well the program i have are already taken from collection cds ( full programs) in the end this is my first time tring this site i hope i dnt be un pleasent guest ... reply asap ty Mat Edited by - A on 07/01/2002 14:48:29 Edited by - A on 07/01/2002 14:55:08

Hi A It usually indicates either that the file you trying to run may be corrupt or that it's not meant for your version of Windows (for example, a 16-bit DOS program is not a valid Win32 application). hello ty for ur response ... i belive that all files with .exe it isnt about 16 bit or 32 bit ... bcuz i tried to install msn or nero setup file ..... going to windows xp prof my pc spec are 1.5 Gb P1V 256 DDR RAM 40 GB TNT NIVINDA 64 MB SVGA OS is windows 2000 SP2 updated every week is it possiblly that its about julit or ISO thing ? or can it also be some encryption ???!!!! notice that the proggies doesnt change in size is it also possible a virus? ty .............. for ur replies Mat

Yes it could be a virus the most usual one is win95cih Also Known As Chernobyl and that does cause big problems with .exe files so run norton antivius program of simular program and chech all files on the cd !
