MP3Mogul -> Weird Key2Audio Protection (6/1/2002 5:06:13 PM) Just purchased a "Trick Pony" CD and popped it in my in dash cd/mp3 player, guess what, no play! So I got home, pulled up clony, and it reported the disc as Key2Audio protected, no big deal. Then I tried ripping it with MusicMatch on the Yamaha, and it ripped it with NO PROBLEM at all. Now that's strange. Then I tried 3 other ripping programs and they all ripped it with no problem. So I copied it with Clone (AWS) to a CDRW. Then I copied it with Nero. Now here's where things get REALLY strange. If you insert the disc made with Nero from the CDRW Clony shows AUDIO DISC with no protection. Anyone else had anything weird like this? -Peace-

Clony reports the original CD as Key2Audio protected, but every program that I could fine ripped it with no problem. I made a copy with CloneCD using AWS, that copy when analyzed by Clony says AUDIO CD, no protection! -Peace-

MP3Mogul -> RE: Weird Key2Audio Protection (6/4/2002 11:11:20 PM) Yes, If you make a copy to cdr the copy shows that it is not protected after using AWS with CloneCD. But the original still shows Key2Audio (tried in 3 different systems, they all reported the same). Kinda weird...... -Peace-
