Deddard -> Ghost Recon Desert Siege (5/29/2002 9:54:45 AM)

Just started with cdr and cdrw. Trying to back up my entire collection of discs - had one or two of my original discs go the way of the dodo, and it's expensive!
Trying to copy my GR Desert Siege disc - tried CD mate and CloneCD.
Neither worked properly. Changed region settings to Canada to enable the weak boosting thingy, but still no joy.
The disc copied, and I could install the game from the CDR (imation) but it crashed to the desktop when I tried to run the game.
Otherwise it said it didn't have the right disc.
Running Win 98 on athlon 1100.
Liteon CDR/RW
DVD-ROM/CD (Panasonic)
also have Norton systemworks loaded.
Any suggestions?

It has got the Famous SafeDisc v2 Protection on the CD.
The best way to get round it is to Download the Latest version of Clone CD (v4.0.1.3) and goto.
http://home.arcor.de/bejot/
And get the latest English version of Clony XL (v2.0.0.6)
and install Clony XXL and run it and let it setup Clone CD.
Usualy this works well with Safedisk 2.
I hope this helps
