I had a slightly different problem with my PlexWriter W4824TA (Win98) where Blindwrite errored out every time I tried to burn a CD. I found that if I unchecked DMA in the system device manager everything worked. Perhaps your problem is similar? Did WinXP change a setting on you?

Surreal Imposter: Can't see any settings that have been changed. My drive is SCSI, so DMA is not applicable.

Turns out it was a hardware problem. I got a new burner and everything is fine now. No more blanks now! Yamaha tech support says that it was probably an issue with the laser getting weaker and weaker (?). Who knew this could happen so quickly?

I am having the same problem with a Samsung SM-332B DVD/CDRW Combo drive. I have tried mutiple programs such as Fireburner, CDRWin & Nero to burn a bin/cue but always come up with the same end result. Burning audio in Windows Media Player 9 or Roxio CD & DVD Creator 6 work fine. Could some1 please email me this aspifix to see if it will help, thank u.

Okay, REMOVE whatever ASPI layer you have installed. Then download this file, and install it. This file is safe, and virus free, provided from me from my webserver.
