Hi, LiteOn claims their drive does support Mt. Rainier but the actual drive doesn't! They haven't informed us if they will add it with future firmware update. Visit www.cdrinfo.com - The Recording Authority

i would like to add something too.it's about the plex40,if i saw it right you have compared the tested drives with a plex running with firmware 1.00. i know it's difficult to test all drives again each time a new f/w is released but i think you should give it the benefit of doubt because the f/w 1.01 solves some performance issues. and about that the DAE test i think you should try to test the extraction with plextools/plextor manager (at least for the plextor drives) to end i would like to ask for a review update when the f/w that supports Mt. Rainier comes out for plex40 (that is if you have the time to do it) R00KIE
