jase -> LiteOn 12x10x40 (12102B) overclockable?? (9/15/2001 8:09:29 PM)

I notice the (to me) slightly cryptic message about the 12x10x32 (12101B) not being upgradeable to 16x10x40 (16101B/16102B). I may be jumping the gun a little bit here, but does that mean that the 12x10x40 (12102B) is overclockable? They are both MTK-based, and it is the only explanation I can come up with for someone feeling the need to tell people that the x32 cannot be upgraded....

CDR Overclocker -> RE: LiteOn 12x10x40 (12102B) overclockable?? (9/16/2001 12:59:42 AM)

You seem to have different CD-RW drives on hand for overclocking :)

Yes, I believe the LTR-12102B can be o/c to LTR-16102B. Don't try the DOS Flasher though even if you know how to extract the bin file from the Windows flasher. If you want to do it, try patching the Windows flasher so that it accepts a different drive.
