I26 -> what you mean "hide cdr" (2/22/2002 4:23:03 PM)

What exactly does that feature mean and why do you have to use it? Does it mean once you make a copy you can't put it in another pc and use it without CloneCD being installed? Thanx for the insight.

It hides the CD-RW drive so discs that have ATIP check information protection can be playback with CD-RW drives.

During my installation is this function disabled. It says because of my english OS.

I have read somewhere that there is a possibility for a workaround, but I don't know where anymore.

Anyone, please?

Hans

Go to start, settings, click on the "regional settings" icon. Pick the region of your choice. I'm using Canada. CloneCD wil now enable the "hide CDR" option.

By law CloneCD disabled this option and the "Amplify weak sector" option for the USA. So if you want to use it you have to tell your computer that you moved to Canada and it will let you use it.

Visit www.cdrtimes.net too. Another great place....
