yi_hsun -> Yamaha 3200 firmware update question. (2/10/2002 2:44:08 PM)

I connected my Yamaha 3200E with a SCSI adaptor and now it is read Yamaha 3200S. I'm going to update its firmware to 1.0b but got a few concerns in mind, could somebody help me figure out the following:
1) Is the firmware for yamaha 3200E the correct one for my Yamaha 3200S??
2) If 1) is true then can I just update my 3200S directly or I have to take the SCSI adaptor off before I update??
3) The instruction for update in the readme.txt of the 1.0b firmware file says that we have to turn off the DMA mode (for winXP) in Device Manager -> IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers -> secondary IDE channel -> advance settings. But in both of my primary and secondary IDE channel I don't see any advance settings tab. What should I do?? just ignore it??

thanks in advance!

Jason.

I guess you might be able to update the Yamaha 3200S firmware up to 1.0b.
