This game as per clony-xl is safedisc 2 but also as game starts up saying it has fade protection,My question is with my Toshiba XM-6702B as the reader and a phillips pcrw804K as the writer,I use clone-cd version 3072 will the backups be a 1:1 copy with fade not working,I have not installed the patch from there site either.

John don't misunderstand me I have made the backup with fast error skip enabled only, and it works my question is about the fade protection will this show up later or would it have already shown up.what is different with the files if it has fade protection also.

KaRRiLLioN -> RE: Operation Flashpoint (9/10/2001 12:07:25 PM)

I've been trying to clone Operation Flashpoint as well because the stupid Dedicated server still checks for the CD in the drive. I run my game servers off of my T-1 at work so I can't be there to swap the cd's around.

Anyway, I tried to make an image using my HP 3110 and it didn't do anything until I checked the read subchannel data box. I know it's safedisc2 protected. Do you think that checking some of the other options is necessary? I checked CloneCD's website and it shows the HP 3110 as having the best read and write methods so I'm assuming it shouldn't be a problem, although I'm no expert on this.

BTW, regarding the FADE protection, I don't think it's a factor really. I'm not entirely convinced that it even exists if certain folks I know are telling the truth. I bought the US version as soon as it came out. I suppose the only way to find out is to try it.
