anyone know if the flash utility that comes with the 6.38 firmware update will work on xp? i ran it and it see's the drive but just wanted to know if anyone had tried it yet. just trying to be sure before i screw somethin' up.

yes it works ok , I used to do it in regular windows mode but I do it in safe mode now . you might want to disable dma before flashing though then flash the drive and reboot then turn dma back on
