Zoda007 -> CD-ROMs list for CloneCD (11/28/2001 2:35:14 PM)
A few version back there used to be a list for CD-ROM's as well as CD-RW's. Now they are only posting CD-RW's, why? Are CD-Roms out now? Are they "out of style"? Is it lame to buy them? How do you do a CD copy (CD to CD)? Do you need to buy 2 CD-RW's for this?

To make copies CD to CD you need of course another CD-Rom (you can use a cdwriter too). the problem is that now is better to have a cd-writer to read and write all than to have a cd-reader for reading functions. If you want to know what cdroms are compatible with clonecd, I recommend you Toshiba drives or you can try different marks with it

the liteon ltd-163 dvdrom is priced about the same as a good cdrom and is rated as a better reader than a tosh. extremely fast audio extraction and a good dvd player too. the main site has a review on it and other dvdroms including clone reading capabilities.
