Hello good people!
Please, can any one confirm wether using DVD shrink can help put the content of a DVD Rom of about 6.78Gb on to a normal DVD5 disc. Else, how can I go about this for I can't find a DVD9 disc in my locality and the only DVD+R DL I found had a problem after I burnt the program from the source DVDRom making it impossible to instal from the seemly poorly burnt disc.

DVD9 is DVD DL.  You can compress video with Shrink, but not data.  I suggest shopping around for some Verbatim branded DVD+R DL media.  If you can't find it in a local shop, perhaps an online reseller can get it to you.
