So long as they are backups of DVD-Video, I suggest SlySoft AnyDVD (pay, but worth every penny... for me, mainly for getting past some audio cd protections/preventing rootkits) first and then possible DVDFab Decrypter (free).  Then you may want to try to find DVDShrink somewhere on the web.

AnyDVD is a proven product and if you have questions, you're more likely to get them answered here or at cdfreaks.com.  Also, before I would even consider Xilsoft's product, you should look at DVDFab... they have a free alternative with DVD Fab Decrypter.

lisa_8023 -> RE: DVD Copy Software (11/15/2006 3:36:15 AM)

I just use WinAVI DVD Copy.

dinno -> RE: DVD Copy Software (11/15/2006 12:17:46 PM)

goranalunovic -> RE: DVD Copy Software (12/3/2006 4:11:19 PM)

I use Nero with DVD Decrypter and DVD shrink.

MP3Mogul -> RE: DVD Copy Software (12/3/2006 6:10:13 PM)

AnyDVD, with DVD Shrink and you will be able to backup "ANY" DVD you own.

Any fans of a 1click dvd & anydvd combo? Worked for me for years. I recommend windvd for backing up you mpeg/avi files. I tried xilisoft dvd copy express. It is similar to windvd. More options, but slower imho. Can someone post a link that involves a cd burning software debate?
I keep hearing Nero...But I'm stingy with my ram, plus I don't need all the features....I need something simple and effective.

I use ImgBurn for data/video cd/dvd... arguably the best burning engine available and it's free... If it could just do audio discs there would be no need for Nero... That said, I still use Golden Hawk CDRWIN, though I won't recommend it anymore.  Updates are too few and too far between and odds are if you have a newer burner, it won't support it.  Prassi ONES does impress me for everyday burning, but I will likely give Nero 8 one last shot.... Nero 7 has been very disappointing.
