My DVD recorder doesn't appear to support DVD+R Dual Layer. I see that it does support Double Sided DVD-RAM, however. My question is, do I actually have to go and flip the disc halfway through the recording?

actually no, you cannot flip the disc through the recording, you have to wait until finihes and afterwards flip it so it can burn at the other side, not very useful eh?
