Secondly, to answer the question at hand, yes, the Asus drive is okay, along with the Plex or the LiteOn.

As to clarify the statement when I said that Plextors are not expensive, I don't consider "ANY" drive under 200.00 to be expensive, but these are just the standards that I judge them by.

BTW, Vbguru, yeah, the comment you made on telling a member to wash his keyboard in the dishwasher was "FAR OUT THERE" and a bad idea to give out...

It was that or throw it away and get a new one. Besides, do a Google search on, "dishwasher keyboard" You'll find a lot of people swearing by the method, so I didn't just pull it out my @$$. Also, I would like to continue the arguement about the moon, not because I like to argue, but because I feel it is a very interesting topic. Being a mod., can you tell me if this is allowed or not?

Not really, because we cover CDR/DVDR Info, not other subjects, but I'm sure there are alot of boards out there that allow this... I do appreciate your interest in the topic though.

I think the Seekers all should be sent to Australia as they have more spare room than us in our little Island, then blow our Channel Tunnel up and the ones that don't want to go to Oz will have to stay in France LOL !!! [:)]

I own a Plextor Premium drive and it's awesome, to say the least!!! I can't say enough about this drive. Hey there Laffin Assassin it's me "clawso1" from the old forum. Had a problem in keeping the old handle. BTW, I had a problem with my Plextor 48x and Plextor let me have the "Premium" drive for $45!!![;)]

Might also consider buying Toshiba SD-R5272B...Low price, high performance at either recording/re-writing speeds and can handle all SafeDisc protections!
